Just a collection of some of my half-baked thunkings for your entertainment.
I'll add to or update these probably mostly depending on the interests of readers.
Of Biblical Proportions
Pre-Flood Pandora - There are numerous claims of ancient advanced technology found and unexplainable (by methods we know of) structures built in various places around the world. This has made me wonder if the peoples in pre-flood times may have been actually more advanced than us. Perhaps they created technologies that led to bad things we haven't even imagined yet (which may be why they had to be so thoroughly wiped out). For example in biotechnology what if they were able to engineer dinosaurs from normal reptiles, maybe giants or were creatures from humans. If so, perhaps some of their genetic material made it to this side of the flood and expressed in various legends and real beings - legends like Nessie and dragons, and the apparent continuation of giants after the flood to the medical condition still existing today.
The sin against God - Of course any sin could be thought of as being against God, but in the Old Testament one in particular is called exactly that. And it involves two of the Bible's characters that are particularly known for really living and succeeding by faith. And in these two there's one of each - one who withstood the temptation and one who did not. I probably noticed this because they are two of my favorite characters, but Joseph and David both faced fairly strong sexual temptations - Joseph from Potifar's wife and David from Bathsheba. In Joseph's case he responded to her with words to the effect of 'Why should I do this and sin against God?' (Genesis 39:9) and withstood the temptation suffering false accusation and prison time for it. In David's case he succumbed to the temptation leading to him premeditatively murdering one of his most dedicated military leaders and the death of one of David's infant sons. When he finally came clean and begged God for mercy, his words were to the effect of, 'I have sinned against the LORD' (II Samuel 12:13). I just thought it interesting that one particular sin is called this and by two major biblical characters with both examples of one falling for it and one not.

How Politics When Poli Wants Her Cracker
Over-Under-played - I'm no expert here, but in observing it seemed to me the Dems played the 2024 elections unusually incompetently. They started with a presidential candidate that anyone could see was unlikely to last then switched midstream to one unprepared with little time for her to build a campaign against someone already experienced. For some time now the old guard Dems have struggled to soften the damage their new generation's over-the-edge radicalism is doing to their influence on centrist voters. It seems like the old guard may have wanted to set them up to lose not realizing it would also cost them the rest of the branches of government. Meanwhile I didn't think it likely the Don would win again just from all the things he had said the first time around. I believe had the Dems had a more competent and experienced candidate with full campaign time they could have won the presidency or at least held on to maybe one branch of government or one of either the House or Senate.
No mo mo fo yo?? - During the Biden presidency, there seemed to be a strange - at least politically - development different from the terms of past presidents. During this term there were at least three emergencies occurring to communities in the U.S. - in Ohio, in Hawaii, and in L.A. Until this term presidents and their administrations would respond to an emergency with typically large amounts of money and other support. And this made sense as granting plenty of relief and attention has been easy political points for a president in office. But for these situations that wasn't happening or the relief and attention from the White House was very little and very slow. The other side was quick to claim it was because the people affected were their constituents, but that idea only held up for maybe the Ohio one. Concurrently it seemed that some of the funding supposed to be going to Ukraine was not being sent which was especially strange because the party in power was the one pushing for it. This all made me think of something I've wondered about for some time. In any economy there comes a point where no, you can't keep printing or borrowing money, or rather if you do inflation will go through the roof while the nation's debt rating goes through the floor. So I've wondered if we've finally reached that point during Biden's term where there's just no more or very little disposable money left for the U.S. to spend. This would also tend to explain why some of the things Trump has been in a hurry about have been cutting costs and imposing pretty high tariffs. I tend towards favoring both policies (on the tariffs to better equalize ours with other countries) but why were they a rush?

A bit further out there..
Reigning Cats and Dogs - some think we're secretly being ruled by aliens. Nah, that's just what THEY want you to think. While they've been on the top of the food and master/servant chain for some time - humans supply all their needs while they only sleep, eat, and play - the true nature of dogs and cats as our rulers became clear in 2020. It was in the year of the engineered plague that their influence became truly known being able to get humans to give up everything they normally do to stay home with their 'pets'. Who are the well-trained pets here, eh? Eh?
Meta Mystery! - what in the world does the 'meta' part mean in meta4est?? In my gaming hobby it can be an acronym for Most Effective Tactics Available or .. optimal way to play. So my website name could have some hidden acronym or other mysteriously coded message. It couldn't be that Forest was looking for a short easy to remember url and they're hard to find! So whatever you do, don't guess that!
